Sorry folks it's a yellow month! Had to get a shot of our countysides wonderful wild moorland gorse. It was just a year or two ago it took a severe beating by the bad winter temps, it's a very hardy bush but it has really struggled just to regain what it lost that winter. Pleased to say it's back to its usual riot of golden flowers which was made even better by the blue skies and sunshine, really was as bright as this!!

I love the scent too. A lovely cheerful image. Unfortunately we are not so fond of gorse in NZ as it takes over! Although it isn't so disliked now as it has been found to be ok as a nursery area for native tree plantings - when the trees get bigger, the gorse lacks light and dies off.
