I know this is a boring photo but to me it's the end of 13 long weeks in plaster of which 8 of them were non-weight bearing. There is not much to show for all that time, just a couple of scars and a swollen ankle! I now have to gradually build the exercise up to strengthen the bone and see him in 6 weeks, at least he's pleased with it. Hopefully no problems will develop and he said when it has recovered enough he will start 'tinkering' with the other one, injections for a while I hope, I just don't want to got any where near another op at the moment. I've had my fill!!
Thank you for all your commentsj and favs and goodwill wishes all of them have helped to keep me afloat for the past 3 months.
I am sure you are feeling over the moon , What a neat job the surgeon has made -- Take it easy and follow the medic's instructions and I am sure you will come up smelling of roses pretty soon -- take care and good luck !
What kind of surgery did you have on your foot? You must have had a great surgeon because you can barely see the scar. Hope you're up and about and feeling great soon. It must be a relief to be out of the plaster.
Be sure and do all of the physical rehab. Speaking from personal experience it's the only way to heal. Boring and tiring but please be diligent. Happy you're out of that cast!
Thank you all so much for your encouragement and well wishes, I almost felt human today!! All your comments and favs are always appreciated and very much appreciated.
A momentous day I am sure. Onwards and upwards now I hope. May you now have a speedy recovery.
I still have a slightly 'fat' ankle after surgery. The surgeon said it will always be fatter than the other ankle. Never mind.
