Speckled by craftymeg

Speckled

The first variegated poinsettia I have seen, so pretty I was sorely tempted as it was the last one. But I am not a Christmas fan and I associate these with the season. The colour was more of a magenta than a red, so vibrant.
Nice on black

Thank you for your comments and favs all are very welcome.
Fabulous shot, I have also never seen a speckled one. It must be a new cross breed.

I have not seen variegated poinsettias yet. I am not a Christmas fan either but I bought a red poinsettia which began to die the day after I brought it home so I am taking it back!

I also saw the speckled ones last weekend when we visited the garden centre ! but I prefer the traditional red for Christmas but I haven't had one for quite a few years as they need a cool tempretures and my house is far too warm for them to survive !

Really nice on black. I like how you've filled the frame with this beauty.

I've never seen one of these either - think they're quite hard to keep alive in any colour variety sadly

This one is really unusual - I'll have to look at our nurseries to see if they're carrying these, too. They kind of remind me of paint spatters - not really as Christmassy but definitely eye catching.

I love Christmas done simply, not the extravagances and tackiness of excess that seems to bear the title these days. We celebrate far more simply in our house and love it. This is gorgeous. I have never seen a variegated poinsettia before, I will have to look out for them.
