Everywhere you go across the moors you find these type of mossy covered dry-stone wall. I love them, there are never two alike each one is very individual and each area across moors and the dales have their own characteristics, you can tell what part of the moors you are on by the different styles.

I love dry stone walls too and the moss is almost always on the north side, as it is with trees. When we were in Scotland, I was amazed that the trees in the forests were moss-covered all the way around the trunks. Just shows how damp it is! Moss is like a miniature world to me, a tiny forest. I love it
