Taken yesterday at the top of the moor, always curious this mother and daughter stood long enough for me to get a good shot in the nearly flowering August heather.
Some farmers don’t bother shearing the adults and just let the fleece shed naturally. A sorry state when the fleeces are not worth collecting and shows how our wool industry has changed.

I love the photo of the two sheep. I agree with your commentary. It seems people, and I'm afraid I have to include myself in that group at times, prefer the lighterweight synthetic blends that do a great job of keeping us warm. They are also easier to take care of. How I often put off soaking and blocking a wool garment.
