Going Going....Nearly Gone

Redcar Steel Works, now in mothballs and being taken down bit by bit, each time we pass its a little less. I will miss it when it goes, I’ve always loved its rusty grandeur and its outline along the shoreline at Redcar. Not pretty but it’s been part of my life since childhood.

Industrial plant like this has a certain grandeur, and it is a bit sad when they are demolished. I wonder if anything will be left to commemorate the importance of iron and steel to Redcar (and other parts of Teesside)? Fav!
