The Great Australian Clock by cruiser

The Great Australian Clock

this is in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney which was constructed between 1893 and 1898 and is Heritage listed. It is now an upmarket shopping precinct.

"The Great Australian Clock, designed and made by Chris Cook, weighs four tonnes (four short tons) and stands ten metres (thirty-three feet) tall. It includes 33 scenes from Australian history, seen from both Aboriginal and European perspectives. An Aboriginal hunter circles the exterior of the clock continuously, representing the never-ending passage of time." from Wikipedia.
It took 4 years to build and was installed in June 2000 at a cost of $1.5 million!!

Love it, the QVB is one of my favourite places in Sydney for taking photos.
