42 days without rain and still none in sight

so depressing to see my poor garden burnt to a crisp. This long stretch is predicted to go on all week and looks like it will break the record set 62 years ago. Evidently this long dry spell is due to the late start to the monsoon in the tropics. It takes too much water to use a hand held hose so the lawn will just have to die off till Autumn.
Boo
it will be green again...hopefully, never give up hope

Love vonski's comment. Some part is hot, some part is freezing, some part is dry, some part is soaked. What a mess.

I sincerely hope you get some rain from up here, though l don't know where you live. The rain seems to be hugging the tropical coast. Always disheartening to see the heat devastate gardens

Looks like weather breacks records all over the world. Even in my region/country.

Very dry. We had 1 mm rain last night, that isn't going to make much difference is it

Sorry to see this though I prefer a dry spell than a wet one. We have had more rain than usual this year and I am fed up of it. Thank God today is sunny.

It does look dry. I wish we could send you some rain, or even snow but you might not like that 😁.

Those trees. You are looking to an orchard and the trimmed hedge trees on two sides around it

Sure wish we could send some of our excess water your way. I hope you'll get some relief soon. Good document shot.

I want rain in Melbourne too Chris!

Your garden does look like a nice native garden - so hopefully most of it will come good when we do get some rain. We were lucky enough to pick up 28mm a week ago - it made a huge difference to the overall look of the area. I hope you get some soon. :)

@joannakate we live in Adelaide Joanna but lived in Cairns for 4.1/2 years in the 70's. I miss the wonderful tropical downpours.

@susiemc would love to have some snow. It very rarely happens near us on Mt Lofty but some places in the Flinders Ranges get a bit from time to time.

@pyrrhula yes there are some terrible extremes of weather at the moment all over the world. In the north of our country they are experiencing unprecedented floods!
