on the trail by cruiser

on the trail

no sign of who left this silver trail outside our front door but i suspect a very large Leopard Slug. They frequently find their way into our kitchen in the dead of night and all that is left of their nocturnal wanderings is their trail along the bench top.
Oh my! Great detective work.

I like this shot but I don't like slugs. They've been eating my hosta plant and it's really annoying.

@lilminimonka thankyou Brianna. Slugs are really yukky and I think they come into the kitchen looking for crumbs.

@kanelipulla thanks Julia . I thought the black and white made it look a little bit more sinister. I hate slugs and I'm rather glad they usually make it back outside by morning although I have occasionally found one that's lost its way and have to pick it up with a tissue and flush it down the toilet! makes me shudder

@pennystot they are aren't. I find it really hard to pick up and dispose of them. and I am very angry when they eat my plants. They can grow to 8"; I think they come inside looking for crumbs.

@deu49097 @yaorenliu I really dont like slugs and hate it if I find one that's lost its way home and I have to dispose of it. They can grow to 8".

Great shot. We don't seem to have slugs where we are now,but have had them in previous homes. I have been known to tread on one in the dark of night
