Although the Monarch or Wanderer is indigenous to the Americas it has been in Australia since around 1856 so is quite at home here. This bush was covered in them vying for space with the bees

@seattlite thankyou Gloria. They are beautiful butterflies. it is thought that they may have come here from New Caledonia by being blown here in a cyclone.
