Hungry Heron

I visited Pickerington Ponds today for a short visit. This Great Blue Heron spent some time fishing along the edge. He was quite the hunter as I saw it have at least 4 successful dives. I can't believe it could see to the bottom of the muddy water to spear a Crayfish.

Well captured Bill. We saw a heron in our local park yesterday. Sadly he was sitting on a swan's nest. I'm just wondering what happened to the swans.....!
