While taking my mother-in-law back to the nursing home yesterday I noticed this team of horses bringing in round hay bales from the field to the barn. In this shot they are waiting on the farmer to take them back into the field to get more bales.
@borof, the Amish is a very conservative religious sect who are desperately trying to hold on to the old ways. Even within the Amish community there is a move to a more modern life from many groups. Each individual church bishop gets to determine how modern their church members get to be. Some are now using tractors but most still use horses.
