Harlequin Duck by cwbill

Harlequin Duck

While in Cleveland yesterday I was able to locate three Harlequin Ducks. These ducks are normally located along both east and west coasts in the northern waters. They are common all the way along Alaska's southern coast and on the east coast all the way to northern Canada. They do appear on the great lakes in very small numbers periodically. I felt blessed to get to see them. Would have preferred to have them in full breeding plumage but was still excited to see what I did.
i seldom see them here, and seen them only once. they are quite nice and friendly, too. aces!
