This flower is long gone by. I left the flower stalks standing in some of the flower beds to provide cover for the birds that visit my yard. I have been noticing that my gardens are brown. (I would like them to be green, but winter is still playing with spring.) When I took this shot, I was thinking of the browness and how I could get the background to express this browness. This is the result of my thinking and the camera settings I used.
This photo was taken on the 7th. I used it for today, because it was late in the day when I came home from selling crafts at the craft show.
@olivetreeann Thanks. This reminded me of Fall too. That is how my yard looks though---brown fall with a few very short sprigs of green here and there.
@tonygig Thank you for the fav. I rejected this shot twice before I had to use it as a filler due to being so busy at the craft show. A fav on a "second best" photo makes me feel encouraged.
