This downtown church building was built in the 1880s. Back then, it was known as the Congregational Church. Later, it was known as the Community Church. I think it is now the Slavic Christian Church. The building was built in the Romanesque Revival style. There is another church building built in the same style just two blocks to the north. The Congregational Church building is known for its round stone arches, its bell towers and its stained glass windows.
I want to thank all of you for your support and encouragement. I prefer color photography over BW. I have been unconfident with my building photos and especially with doing these in BW. I carefully selected buildings that I thought would look good in BW. After receiving so many supporting comments, I decided to photograph this building today. I have photographed this building before. I have found this building more difficult to do in BW due to the gray stones and lack of color contrast on the exterior walls. Today, I found it easier to photograph this church building. I was even able to bring out the light/dark contrasts. Thank you so much for bringing out my confidence with photos of buildings and with processing BW.
I think you've done an amazing job with these buildings in b&w - first for having the confidence to get it a try and then to work on them to make the details so much a part of the photo. You really feel like you're seeing them in person.
You did capture it beautiful and the B+W processing fits very well to this pic. Well done
If I`ve a comment then it`s only the cable`s. I would have retouch them .
On my own pic. I do retouch everything modern I don`t like (if possible)

@tonygig Thanks! I cannot believe that one of my building shots received a fav. Photographing buildings has not come naturally to me. I have had to really work at this.
@daisymiller. With free Picasa 3 . It`s very easy but it take time to get it not to be seen as the lines are long.
When you click on retouch you get a pop up brush size , make this small.
go with the circle on the line, click and then move to a part next to it click , go back and click again . . Then that part is retouch.Do this all over the line . Don`t worry you always can go back as long as you`ve not : ``save as`` it . and when you have save it you can remove it on the first pic. so you get the original back
