December 10: And the Santa that started my collection
This is not the first Santa that I received. However, this is the Santa that started my Santa collection. My father and mother took us kids to Santa Land when we were old enough not to really appreciate it. We did have a good time once we decided to please my father by liking our visit there. At the end of our visit, my father took us to the gift shop and told us that he would buy one thing for each one of us. I chose a Santa Land postcard and a ceramic picture frame. I cut the postcard so it would fit into the picture frame. Each Christmas, I bring out my first treasured Santa and display him.
