December 20: Christmas 2014: Tree decorations

When I walked by this Christmas tree, I was caught by its simplicity and by its beauty. The tree is decorated simply with tiny Christmas lights, ornaments like this one, and silk poinsettia stems poked through the branches. I don't think I have ever seen a Christmas tree decorated with silk flowers poked into the tree before, but I like how they look.
The silk flowers would be quite valuable so I hope they have someone watching the tree!

@maggiemae The artificial poinsettias are not the expensive kind. I think the poinsettias are the relatively cheap ones. However, all together, the poinsettias would be worth some money. During the week, there are people in the offices off the lobby where the tree is. During the weekned, there are few (if any) people watching the tree.

It's a very pretty way to decorate a tree. A friend of mine does something similar only she uses silk hydrangeas and multi colored balls. Nice shot!

@olivetreeann I would love to see your friend's tree. Hydrangea and multi colored balls sound like a beautiful way to decorate a tree.
