BW

I just happened to look down and see this. I thought that this might look good in BW. As I go through the first week in the February BW (Flash of Red) challenge, I am exploring what looks good in BW and what does not. The subject of this shot was the weathered surface of a landscaping railroad tie.

You can really see how black and white uses the light to bring out the texture of the railroad tie. The weathered crevices really stand out.
