The dawn promised a beautiful sky. I ran outside with my camera. However, the dawn was not as beautiful as I thought it would be. I decided to shoot daffodils in front of the sky to get a more interesting shot. In chapter six of the book, Extraordinary Everyday Photography, the authors talk about point of view. The authors suggest including an interesting foreground when shooting a landscape or scenic photograph. I only had the time to shoot pictures in my own yard, so this photo is my attempt of including an interesting foreground.
I am glad I took this opportunity to shoot the daffodils in front of the sky. In the time, I took a half a dozen shots, the sky turned a pretty color and I was able to take that beautiful sky picture I wanted. In addition, I heard a small flock of geese and I was able to shoot one shot of the geese. Had I not been in position, I would have never had that opportunity.
