Dusty Miller

While I was looking to see if the spring flowers were coming up, I noticed the dusty miller plants. Some of them still look good in their dried winter state.

A very interesting name for a flower! There must be a story here or maybe a guy or gal called Dusty Miller discovered it! Remember Dusty Springfield?

Was the title intended to be a pun on your name? Still lovely textures

@maggiemae I do remember Dusty Springfield. I do not know much about how this plant got its name. It does have a frosted look to its leaves. (white fuzz on green leaves). Its scientific name is centaurea cineraria.

@sfeldphotos The title was an unintentional pun. The plant is actually called Dusty Miller. There are several varieties sold & planted in my city. The scientific name is centaurea cineraria. Dusty Miller is grown for its ornamental leaves (white fuzz on green leaves).

@beryl Thank you. This plant does have another name, but it is sold as Dusty Miller here and that is the name I use.
