Civil War Museum by danette

Civil War Museum

This is the Confederate Memorial Hall Museum, built in 1891. The cannon was placed there in 1899, dedicated to those killed during the Siege of Mobile, Alabama. One of my great-grandfathers fought as a Confederate in the Civil War, being wounded just before the surrender. I enjoyed the fact that they had kept all these artifacts so well preserved.
I love that you're seeing so many interesting places! This one looks fascinating!
