Fakahatchee Strand

At the end of an easy boardwalk hike through the forest of cypress trees and royal palms, sits the alligator pond, full of life. It got hit pretty hard during Hurricane Irma, but seems to making a comeback.
Lovely shot. Great on black. Love the reflections. Fav. Wonder what sort of bird that is. It looks like some sort of Ibis. But different than the ones I have seen.

@Weezilou it is tranquil. Very isolated. Think of an oasis where many have come to drink. Dozens of birds. It's magical.

@mbrutus I believe it's an Ibis but I agree it looks a bit different. He seems more red.
