Brick-lined street by danette

Brick-lined street

This is my son's street. I spent a few hours yesterday researching the history of his 93 year old house. At the county records office, I was able to find the deed from 1955. I then came back to the house and used Ancestry.com to discover a little more. Turns out that one family owned the house at least from 1940-1995. When my son came home from work, we had fun researching that family. The son may still live in town. One day, I will go back to the county records office to search further back. It is very time consuming to find those records.
I love this!! Love the image of the quiet street, love the history. This is great!!! :-)

How interesting! It’s so great that your son prefers an older home instead of a shiny all new one. I love older homes.

@rhernan @bkbinthecity @louannwarren @homeschoolmom @Dawn @shepherdmanswife @kwind @henrir @paul10 @mittens I uploaded a closer view of the bricks. In this photo, they look grey because of the setting sun. They are red. Thank you for all of your comments!
