Coast Guard Station by danette

Coast Guard Station

Built in 1936, this Coast Guard Station is located on Peanut Island, off Palm Beach, Florida. It is going to undergo a renovation as it is currently closed. Behind it is an atomic bomb shelter built for John F. Kennedy. It will also be renovated and then re-opened to the public.
Fabulous capture of this historic site. There is so much in the world that not many of us are aware of.

I'll never think of Florida the same way again since meeting you there! You share so much history! I never thought of a possible need for a bomb shelter for JFK there...history!
