It's a beautiful perspective with the focus most sharp toward the final arch with the Dei Gloriam. I'm wondering if you can crop from the sides so the eye can reach that focal point a bit more without the out of focus sides.
@darylo After your note, I tried a re-crop to no avail. I am thinking to accomplish the goal, I would need a higher f/stop? Other alternate would be a vertical crop of just the area you are talking about.
Oh, another lovely shot. This is much better lined up (to my eye). One thing you did really well, which is important, is to make sure that the pillars and arches on the sides are in the same position, relative to each other. In other words, the pillar on the right comes down to the right corner of the shot in the same way as the pillar on the left. Similarly, the arch closest to the photographer on the right is in the same position as the arch on the left. You did this just right. On the leveling thingy... sometimes I just have to do it manually, using my eye, not relying on the "auto-level" features in LR or similar. I just slide that little level slider back and forth, until my inner "line muse" speaks to me and tells me that she is happy. :) Sorry to natter on, but I just love these big architecture shots and they are so fun to produce. Nice work!
@danette You are welcome.. this is a really nice, opulent, rich shot... especially in the b&w, which brings out the textures so nicely. Glad to be of help. :)
