The Christmas pudding wasn't ready for Christmas but it was for New Year's Eve. This is served with Queen Victoria's German custard sauce. 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of sherry, 4 egg yolks whisked sharply over a low fire until it takes the appearance of a frothy custard.
