I was informed yesterday by my daughter that school would be out the next day--whoops, there goes my Parent of the Year Award--I forgot! We spent the day at the mall, yes, at the mall with my daughters and one of their friends. If anyone knows me, I'm not a fan of malls, but it was lots of fun watching the girls try on clothes, makeup, and high-heeled shoes (I kept thinking a visit to the ER was coming--these girls are not old enough for those things, and I keep praying that the low-heeled shoe will come in style again just when they turn into real teenagers--HA!).
It was a lovely day outside--a real waste to spend indoors, but I dashed out to one of my favorite little parks to capture some fading sun and some color for the day. The daffodils, pansies, and some other spring flowers are in the decaying phase, but this azalea bush is starting to push out the colorful blooms that are such a signature of southern springs.
Work? Smart phones are a blessing. Got it done too. And how nice to receive notification that I'm a finalist in the Camera Settings Challenge--eek! Still in manual mode and loving it. Thanks for the support on 365. Love this place. :)
Lovely bloom. I doubt my Rhodes and Azaleas will yield many blooms as the deer have been eating them all winter. : ( Oh well, live and let live. I'll have to enjoy other peoples flowers. : )
@foxsparrow Those deer! Ah! The cherry blossom trees, tulip poplars, and camelias are busting out in all my neighbors' yards. I think I should send out an email to everyone saying "It's just me, lurking in your yards for photos!" Ha!
