Today marks my 100th photo in the 365 album, and this photo has many flaws given the time I had to come up with an "idea" to celebrate. I've always wanted to use my wooden model figurine in a photo but did not know how to make a "100" without adding so many trinkets below--looking around, I found some candles to do the trick! I took the photo against my window so the light would come in behind, but there was a cross in the pane, so I ETSOOI as is appropriate--notice IOO-STE spelled backwards.
Let me also say that my 365 friendships are so dear to me--I've learned how to use my camera in manual from you. I've participated in fun challenges and been on the PP page by some incredible miracle.
I learn so much from everyone here. Thanks for helping me keep the "one-a-day" addiction going strong. I'm now a professed birder, cherry-tree watcher, contrast seeking urban exer, high-keyer, SOOCer, motion-blurer, MONOer. It's flipping fantastic here, so I'm jumping for joy today! To all others celebrating 100, cheers!
@orangecrush Hey Jerry! I have to credit you with the ONS4 challenge as the real push I needed to see what I could start doing--it was by far my favorite experience in this short 100 days. Can't wait to learn so much more!
Great way to celebrate your 100th photo Daryl - this really made me smile!
Loved your words too - this is certainly a wonderful, crazy project! Many congrats and here is to the next 265 shots! : ))
@rennes I don't think I properly commented on your horse photography last week, but all I can say is WOWOWOOWOWOW---so stunning and beautiful. I love this project, I love my new 365 friends, I love being creative each and every day. Onward! :)
@jo13 I honestly cannot believe I've made it this far and am enthused to keep going! It's friends like you and others here who keep me inspired. Love seeing what you do everyday--imagine what we'll be producing in a few months! I hope you keep looking "upward"--your bird shots are stunning! :)
Daryl - this is fantastic! I love the lighting, the joy, how you worked in 100, the narrative. Such a FUN shot!! And thanks for the heads up about the thread. That was a GREAT idea since so many of us started 1/1/13. It was helpful to have so many shots in one place to go through and study. Fun, fun! I look forward to the rest of the year on this journey with 'followers' and 'friends'!
Wow. Your photo is incredibly joyous and visually depicts your equally wonderful narrative perfectly! Love your thoughts and feelings on this project and I echo what you stated so perfectly. Wonderful.
@jyokota Many thanks! I wish I had had the time to properly set it up for a high-key shot (it's amazing I even know what that is!). But it was fun to think on the fly and get in what I could to mark the date. I really cannot think of a more engaging project (and collection of new friends) that I've been as fond of as 365--I think I butchered that sentence...will save it for grammar lessons with my students on how NOT to write. ;)
Great image of celebration Daryl. Congratulations for making it this far and learning so many new photography tricks ! The people here are the BEST, you included !!! xo
Loved your words too - this is certainly a wonderful, crazy project! Many congrats and here is to the next 265 shots! : ))
