This morning, I walked my daughter to school, to her horror, of course. And I took along my camera because so many plants/trees are celebrating spring renewal. I love the "helicopter" blades of these trees, especially in the morning light. So many trees are issuing forth first efforts of leaves. Reminds me of Robert Frost's poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay"
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Fav fav fav! I've been offline so much that I realized I had missed seeing your photos and reading your descriptions and general chatting with you -- and look what I am rewarded with! A luminous photo with gorgeous colors and a poem, too!
@jyokota You are so nice to fav it! Every spring, Frost is stuck in my head...literally. :) These looked so lovely in the morning light, which quickly faded within an hour and turned to storms later.
