While attempting a shot on some decaying weedy something in my back yard, I came across this fella holding onto his current planet project, but I think he's working on a few more--looks like he's building some kind of network, too. At one point, he took a swipe at me with an attitude like "Why, I outta...pow!" I don't think this shot was AI Servo (tried both), so it's not going in the mix. It's very windy and cloudy today again, and I can see how the AI Servo is good--I don't have a macro lens, but I can see how I will want the little attachment lens (I can't afford a real macro). A girl can dream!
Oh, and I meant to say yesterday, "Happy 1/3 of project done!" Holy Cow! Four full months completed. I'm still shocked I'm on here!
@squamloon Thanks! I may have to go back out and try again to capture him. Grading season--Portfolios arrive tomorrow night and after grades are in....ahhhhhhh, summer! Well, I have a report to do, but ahhhhh, summer!
@squamloon I teach online for a state college in NE--Composition I. Lots of reading and grading in 8-week runs. Intense sometimes. :) My kids don't get out of school until end of May. I know my nieces in CT are not out until June. We go back in early August usually. My courses will begin again in August too -- I decided to turn down the summer teaching opportunity. I'm adjunct, so I work for peanuts. :(
Nice colors in this, and seems like an interesting project- I'd love to see it once he's done with his building :)
Oh, and congrats on the 1/3 of your project finished :)))
@lunaksi Congrats to you! I can tell you that I am so in love with this addiction--and I know that by month 3, I was seeing such a difference in how I was thinking about photography. Love the people here--so motivating to keep going (and glad we've met too!). 365 friendships are great. I can't imagine stopping at this point, but I'm only 1/3 of the way.
@darylo Oh, I know, it's a beautiful addiction! And just like you, I can't imagine stopping this project... I know everything's possible, but I really enjoy every moment here! And the best thing for me are people here! So inspirational and friendly and fun! And I'm glad we've met too :)))
Well done great capture. Re macro lens, I have a small clip on super macro conversion lens that cost about £40 from Amazon and all my macro shots were taken with it, and it has done pretty well, just thought I'd mention it.
And that's one cool spider.
Oh, and congrats on the 1/3 of your project finished :)))
