Oh, pure joy today. I knew that the baby wrens were near hatching with the parents going in and out of the bird house, but I have proof today of the feedings! And, I went up to the house to put my ear up and chirp, chirp, chirp--oh, sweet, heavenly chirp! The bird house is compact and the nest is very well constructed so that the “well” is in the far back right corner and very deep, so I won’t be able to see the chicks, but I got lots of photos with the parents beaks full of bugs for food (I’ve seen, ants (black and red), a spider, some flying bug, a tiny roach, and baby cricket here)!
Another lesson in having your settings right – it’s hard when there is just too much excitement with bird watching. Thankfully, the light and a recharged camera battery made for some lovely captures today!
Alas, today is a “work on the CV” for new work applications…so I’m going to do some work begrudgingly….harrrumph.
@shunter@wadazomo@kaarina365@taffy HI there guys! I did delete the old photo of the parent wren and replaced it with this one if you want to see a much better photos. Thanks for commenting earlier! Much appreciated!
@luvmynynix Thanks! It's all very exciting and the tiny wrens in the nest (I can only imagine HOW tiny) have such delicate and beautiful teeny tiny voices! Squeal!
@wadazomo Thanks! I'm using the kit Canon Zoom Lens EF 75-300mm. I'm also behind my glad door to the back yard, so it'll never be perfect, but I use Lightroom to help some in the processing. Always a huge ordeal with focus for me! Just glad I got another chance. I actually got several I'm really happy about! Thanks for the comments!
@kaarina365@anazad511@witchyjacq Thanks very much for your lovely comments. I'm a bit overjoyed at the moment given the fact that the chickadees before them (the wrens evicted them) lost all 6 of their eggs in the house to a chipmunk invasion. It was horrible.
@shunter@taffy@danette@twistergirl@kaarina365@spair@steampowered@rennes Thanks all so much for dropping in to view and fav my photo. I'm thrilled to witness such a lovely bird and I have my fingers crossed for successful fleglinging (I know, not a word). It's a tough world out there, but from what I've seen so far, wrens are pretty tough little cookies. :) I'm also happy that it was sunny yesterday because bird shots don't work without light!
Fav for sure! Love the bird image, the clarity of the photo details, the background bokeh . . . But you know me . . . I love the narrative! Great bird watching so you know their behaviors now . . .
@jyokota Ugh, updating the CV is like walking a plank. I hate doing it. As an adjunct, I'm just trying to find a good post that does not mean I'll starve. :)

Fingers crossed on the fledgelinging.
