Ah, tomorrow, I embark on a vacation with my two girls: one tween, one teen. We will head to a gulf beach location where they will probably flip out about the clarity of the water and the white sand on the beach. We have spent every beach adventure on the Atlantic side, so this should be fun.
When I go on vacation, I decide to go off the grid, put away the gear, but I'll have my laptop for some minor work and to play with photos as I like. I may even pop on to comment--will try not to upload unless I absolutely must.
Excited also because if the sun, moon, and stars align as I hope they will, my trip back will include a visit with one of my dearest friends here: Katy @grammyn. Yes, you may all be jealous. Here's hoping all the plans work out.
I'll be continuing my abstract focus. I'll be in a high-rise on the beach, so plenty of architectural views. The rest will be me chasing the kids and watching their jaws drop at the beauty of the gulf (I've only seen it twice myself).
So smell ya later folks! May get in one more post before I leave tomorrow.
I like them both Daryl, but I think this one just gets over the line for me. This one show the lines off better for me and the lighting is even better in this one. Great dof
This time I like this B&W better than the color version, maybe because I have seen similar color images before, but not B&W. I mean, who thinks to scrap all that great color for black and white? Have a great vacation.
I agree with Ross @rvwalker re the b&w preference. It really makes the lines/angles/widths pop. Of course, the green version is stellar too. Have a great trip and fun with your girls!
Very awesome! What kind of Palm tree is this? I don't think I've ever seen anything like it! It makes a fabulous abstract subject! And of course, I'm totally envious that you get to meet up with Katy! Give her a hug from me :)
This one fits the abstract mode perfectly! B&W seems to make a difference with that!
