Using my wide-angle and trying to capture a "landscape" shot. I spent about an hour on top of a parking lot deck trying to capture a cool sunset, then gave up, but I circled around to the school because the sky was projecting some cool color JUST as the sun went down. Saw my husband while I was driving and then he crossed over into the school where I was still driving aimlessly around trying to get a shot--the burbs are really not a good place for a landscape shot.
But then I got an idea. It required me lying on the ground in my dress (hoping no goose poop or creepy crawlies were there) and trying to silhouette my husband and dog against the sky. My wide-angle is all manual, so it's a hit or miss show. So glad I had these shots in the end over the god-awful attempts on the parking deck! Both are terrific shots, Daryl! Isn't that the way it sometimes works? We try and try, then the perfect shot blindsides us - WHAM!!! Then we sing and dance and wonder what we were so frustrated about! Ha ha ha! :)
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea Hi Arefin!!! So nice to hear from you. I have been a very absent commenter and I'm sure I have missed viewing many of your photos too. :( I'm just trying to stay on and complete a second year (how did I ever do year one I don't know!). Hope you are doing fabulous. xoxo
