Today:
1) Took kids to Six Flags Over Georgia for roller coaster and water park fun with a good friend.
2) Drove home in time to catch the US v. Belgium game.
3) Had about 500 heart attacks and yelled obscenities around little kids. Sad we lost. Proud of US team.
4) Went to Photo Society talk on photographing nature.
5) Decided to see what I could catch at night without a tripod. Went to old town square to see fountain--not enough light, but wow, frogs making noise everywhere. Put on wide lens. Did a force flash move. Kept getting my head as a shadow and gave up. Met two drunk guys who wanted to know what I was doing. Assessed they were harmless.
6) On way home talked to a friend to make sure her child was ok.
7) Talked to another friend on the phone and got a referral for some new work, but it will start tomorrow.
8) Came home to find that kids did not, in fact, clean up downstairs as I instructed after the World Cup loss.
9) Did dishes, but with huge chip on shoulder--lots of dialogue in my head that goes something like "Jeez, you ask for one thing, ONE THING...".
10) Went upstairs and loaded frog shots on computer.
11) Worked on cloning and healing my shadow out of this shot--there was a huge shadow of my head south of frog.
Going to bed. Gotta look fresh for client in the a.m. Oh, and to those of you who started at the beginning of January (not I), happy half-project day! :)
Want to read a great article on frogs, read here:
http://www.examiner.com/article/the-frog-patrol. But note, he has the owl who says "who cooks for you" wrong--that's the barred owl. I am getting so good at this! ;)
And a super pic!
