I'm afraid my mind is all a mess, so I'm uploading my only shot for the day, no crops, no official post processing, although since I shoot in RAW, I had to hit the blackandwhite button in LR5 to change it to the mode I shot in (in a Canon, you can change the mode to B & W, but RAW will collect in color--if that makes since).
When I started my 1st year, I used to aim "high" for SOOC work, and I think it's a really good way to learn the way ISO, aperture, and shutter speed are a team. I have since learned that the camera makes its adjustments regardless, so technically there is no such thing as SOOC, but for the purpose of this experiment, I tried to stay away from anything like cropping, using post upload work, and all I did was hit the B&W transfer button.
Yesterday's shot included my favorite magnifying glass my grandmother owned. So I decided to shoot my great-great grandparent's coin silver piece to a tea set. The inscription is from 1908 but it goes back much farther as it's the second gifting of the item from it's original...well, I think.
Regardless, my mind is mush. I have succeeded in messing up much of my schedule today because I'm getting old and my mind plays tricks. I thought I had a meeting (which is really tomorrow) and I arrived 2 hours early for a phone conference that really messed up my entire afternoon! Yikes. One night stand 3, bring it. This one was not as fun as running around the garden with my panties flinging. ;)
Beautiful shot! I arrived at an airport a day early once... minds are tricky things! My sister likes to say "the memory chip is too full and can't store anymore".
We'll at least you didn't miss the meeting - silver linings and all that. This shot has a wonderful feel to it, and seriously doesn't need any further processing. Great shot Daryl, fav.
I'm going through withdrawals from my sooc shot today! I'm afraid of what I might do to tomorrows shot! :o) @kwind Lol! I've gone to work on a Saturday :o)
