Some days after I drop my daughter off at Cross Country practice, I come to this site in an office complex -- it's a building that is being prepared for complete destruction and it's surrounded by fencing and prominent signs saying to keep out. There are wonderful shadows on the stairs going up this shell of a structure, but I cannot get to them.
Yesterday, my eyes shifted to the wires that surround the top floor of the building and the long rubber ties on the top wire going the full distance around the rectangular structure. All that's there are cement stairs, and cement floors. The rest are metal beams.
My effort was to take a minimalistic shot when the wind made the rubber ties dance in the wind--sort of like watching ballerinas stay in sync. At the bottom of the frame is one of the extant metal beams.
What will replace this structure? I have no idea. But I will plan to revisit again.
