As I mentioned in my post yesterday, I will be using a lot of my photos from my photo shoot at Old Car City. This car was a rarity in that it was not completely corroded, but washed and on display toward the front of the 34 acre old car graveyard!
I loved the "fins" and worked on finding a good angle. I'm sure my wide-angle may have been a better choice, but its powers up close are compromised by my inability to gauge the focus--I can't see any difference at all--like at all, and my eye sight can't tell the difference up close--I literally need to take a ruler and measure next time.
I processed this with heavy saturation. Almost every shot allowed me to play heavy on clarity as these all allow for a gritty image. I think I did try some smoothing on this one just because of the color, though. In almost all of the other images, I used a tripod so I could still use a low ISO and then push up the clarity to achieve the gritty look. Really shows how the difference of subject changes the processing work. I'm usually trying to eliminate noise and in most of my new photos, noise comes in but it's a positive for once.
