Day one of the wonderful One Night Stand Challenge and I couldn't resist working with my favorite knife (a Global knife) for an advertising shoot. Note, the lighting today is sh...well, you get it, so I had to get creative with this idea in my kitchen. My very first ONS I ever did included a day where I had to do a High Key shot, so I decided to see what I could do with a fixed lens that will allow a nice wide aperture. Behind this setup is a lamp with paper towels in front to provide some "soft lighting" and as much flooding as possible around the subject. The rest is done in processing. Played again with distortion as my subject was not as vertical as I'd like. I had to clone out some of the objects I could not move in the setup (like dirty dishes and stuff on my counter).
Nicely done, Daryl, far more creative than my attempt, just could not get into this today.
By the way, had you noticed, or can you see the person in shot ?
The stalk and the shadow looks to me like someone.
