I used this backdrop to show a friend of mine accompanying me and our children to Six Flags how something like this makes a great backdrop for portraits because of the great bokeh effect. I took his photo and it was very cool with the colors cast upon his face. This was one of my pre shots so I could play with the portrait idea. But you know me, I see an abstract! So, it's the shot for the album!
@timandelke It was so nice too because my friend was using his son's new camera, and I was telling him how he could get much better effects in manual--so it was nice to impart the knowledge I've gained here on 365. One of my daughter's friends was saying she wished she had a good camera to take shots, and I told her she just needs to train her eye. The quality comes from there first. It was a wonderful evening!
@darylo You're so right - if there's anything that I learned during my time here, it was "how to see". If you don't see it, you can't shoot it, no matter how fancy your camera!
