My Last Friday of this Half Century Warranted a Visit from Phoebe
This little one visits my back yard often -- no feeders, just bugs on the ground at certain points. She lets me close (even though this is rather cropped still). I wonder what a new camera will do with birds-the shutter speed alone on a 7D MarkII makes my heart go pitter patter. But not yet! Until then, I'll do my best to do with what I have. :)
@maggiemae My present camera is a Rebel, and it has served so well as I push and push and push it with its pretty mediocre kit zoom. I will have a new camera the day I finish Year Two (next Wednesday). The shutter on the new camera will probably have me drooling in two seconds. Now I need a new (used) zoom because the real deal comes with the better glass, which I've never had with distant objects! 50 will be fun, though. Thanks so much Maggie. You're kind to comment so often. :)
Oh this is a wonderful capture!! Just think what the 7D will let you do!! I am so tempted to get one just for the extra frames per second!! I look forward to seeing your results. Next Wednesday - big birthday and new camera - what a fab time you will have!! FAv!
I am going to be so jealous. You're going to have Jo-like bird moments. But you already do. This is phenomenal.
BTW you've been cracking me up with your half-century countdown. And speaking as one who crossed the line 10 months ago, things are pretty much the same when you get here. :^)
