Yellow Rumped Warbler by darylo

Yellow Rumped Warbler

I have to thank my good friend Marnie here on 365 for selling me her Tamron 16-300 lens! I did a very, very quick test drive this morning and was quite pleased with the results!

I have to say that the 2 plus years without a real zoom in my lens supply has been a source of awful sadness because I love chasing birds.

This morning, as if the bird world knew that I needed to come out an visit them, many variety of birds came by to visit. Woodpeckers, warblers, finches, tits, towhees, a hawk!, and some squirrels and chipmunks. I had to run to work, but I couldn't resist their calls, so these are my first takes!

I expected chromatic aberration, but LR seems to eliminate a bunch if done in RAW!

So pleased. Tomorrow, I will use the lens as it is intended--for all around shooting and for sports photography, which I will only do for the next two years I suspect (daughter is in Xcounty and track).

But smiles all around. Hot Diggity Dog.

@golftragic Very pleased, and this is without too much trying. Getting focus is a bit of a struggle (but always is with birds). I need to read the info on the lens before heading out to do sports work tomorrow! Thank you again and again and again.
