Between Ulun Danu (the lake) and the Rice Terraces (the mountains) we took village roads to get to our destination. Along the way, we saw marigold fields (field after field), and the air was cool and moist. Such a different climate as you go up in elevation! If you spend a bit of time on this photo, you'll see three small ones on a moto, two people carrying a large bamboo (or similar) pole, a dog in the road in the distance, a speaker system on a roof top, a few people talking, and well, small village life.
Three to a motorcycle was really pretty common (and that could easily be three adults). I think I saw a record of five people on a moto while there. Fascinating.
Trying to get back to the summer trip photos! Will be introducing Japan photos soon. Thanks for patience as I try to go back in time.
There's a lot to see in this scene! Multiple people on scooters seems to quite common in Asia. When I was in Burma in October, there were ten times more scooters than cars on the road.
