Sweetcorn

The sweetcorn has begun flowering - each tiny silk that is emerging from the photo on the left has to have a grain of pollen land on it to produce a kernel. This morning, after overnight showers, all the silk and the flowers looked so delicate. It was hard to get in focus, as the wind was blowing it around…. Can't wait until the corn is ready!
