Snail flowers - Vigna caracalla by dide

Snail flowers - Vigna caracalla

These are the 'snail flowers' when they are open - they have petals a little like sweet peas. The plant is a native from tropical South America - a perennial flowering vine. It is a legume and easy to grow from seed. They smell divine!
Very interesting. Love the color.

Snail flowers? it is the first time I heard it and it is so true. I must get some seeds as it looks so funny and the smell is the bonus.
