Obstacle pole by dide

Obstacle pole

Jesse has been busily practising for woodchopping events when he travels from NZ to Canada later this month. This is the obstacle pole event (not one that is competed for in NZ). Starting on the ground, chainsaw off, run along, then up the pole, start chainsaw, then saw off the end of the pole, run back down pole to the start. You can see how high off the ground he is from the lower right photo. Luckily he is strong and agile!
can i borrow him? I have to do some action photography this week and my sons are nowhere near as energetic!

@kali66 Na - you can't have him now that he is an adult - maybe you could have had him when he was younger and his energy wasn't so well directed….

How exciting. This makes a great collage. I really like the woodchips spraying off from the one on the left. Good luck to Jesse in the competition.

Quite dangerous with that chainsaw on full power. He must be brave. Lovely triptych to show his training.

Excellent photos to depict the action going on here. The spray of wood chips is impressively captured! Congrats to Jesse on being in such amazing shape. The thought of standing on a pole that's well off the ground and starting a chainsaw sounds like the most challenging part to me. I have a terrible time getting my little chainsaw to start but then I've not got the arms this young chap does. Bet it's no trouble from him to yank-start that machine.

Great collage of tree beautiful`` man at work`` pic.`s. It looks a bit dangerous to me to work like this without any protection clothes.
