Jesse has been busily practising for woodchopping events when he travels from NZ to Canada later this month. This is the obstacle pole event (not one that is competed for in NZ). Starting on the ground, chainsaw off, run along, then up the pole, start chainsaw, then saw off the end of the pole, run back down pole to the start. You can see how high off the ground he is from the lower right photo. Luckily he is strong and agile!
Excellent photos to depict the action going on here. The spray of wood chips is impressively captured! Congrats to Jesse on being in such amazing shape. The thought of standing on a pole that's well off the ground and starting a chainsaw sounds like the most challenging part to me. I have a terrible time getting my little chainsaw to start but then I've not got the arms this young chap does. Bet it's no trouble from him to yank-start that machine.
