Boronia by dide

Boronia

This is one of my favourite flowers - Brown Boronia (Boronia megastigma). It is a small shrub with tiny flowers and it is the beautiful fragrance that I love. I get one new plant every year, enjoy its fragrance for about three weeks, then they always seem to die… Never mind, as far as I am concerned, flowers with scent are the only ones worth having! I wish I could send you the beautiful fragrance as well.
I can smell it... my favourite as well... fav... Love how you have done the inset

@deliad Pop into Mitre 10 - that's where I got mine - you can usually smell them from way down the aisle if they've got any!

@yaorenliu Most nurseries have them in at the moment - Mitre 10 probably has - just go and smell them, they are gorgeous.

Nice capture. Interesting-looking flower :)

@fishers There is also a pink boronia, with hardly any scent - if you have seen the brown one, you would remember the scent as it is divine.

Clever collage. This one has such an amazing perfume. Tricky to grow though - I grew one successfully in Wellington (they like the dry air) which lasted for 3 years, but they are short lived.

Very nice capture. The flowers aren't very attractive. Although I prefer to see colour on flowers, the scent should be enjoyable.

Like you I just love boronia, but mine never survive past Year 1 either. Great shot, love the way you've inset a detailed shot of the flowers.
