Beach sculpture

We went out to the west coast again today, but this time a bit further north on the Awhitu Peninsula. This circular piece of log, firmly stuck in the sand for the last few years, made for a good photographic subject.
Fabulous!

@nickspicsnz Unfortunately, this part of the coast can only be accessed through private property, and is a rugged 4 wheel drive track down to the beach. Hope the weather clears for you to show your friend around the Awhitu area.

I saw this on PP and had to come back and ask again how big it was. It looks like a person could stand inside it. Is it about 20 feet tall?
