Yesterday, while at the Hunua Falls, it was neat to see all these big kids learning kayaking skills. As well as that, they had built rafts and these students on the bank were waiting their turn to trial their craft. The weather has been pretty warm, so they weren't at all perturbed when their raft sat somewhat low in the water!
@tramway Good to see it being used positively - good instructors, calm weather, all the safety gear - lifejackets, helmets, whistles, footwear, ropes etc.
It was great to see that these kids were taught water skills and to see them using this area wisely.. Like all water ways it has to be treated with respect.. it was great to see the home made raft being successful in the launch .. fav
