Love this collage and yes, I do recognise most of these old aircraft, especially the iconic Spitfire. I'd be interested to know what the flying-boat is. It looks a bit like the Catalinas my father flew in during WW2, but not the same.
@golftragic Yes it is a Catalina - they are such big bumbling looking planes aren't they? Interesting to know that your father was able to pilot these.
When we look at all these old planes, it reminds me of how magnificent the pilots must have been. My cousin flew a Spitfire for the RAF based in England, so we know where he had to fly - shudder.
How come your Catalina has wing floats and mine doesn't? I was of the understanding that there was only one Catalina flying out of Ardmore, and these photos are taken on the same day.
Fantastic collage each image beautifully captured Dianne, not an easy subject to get right and yours are all spot on, Fav, I love airshows and can name everyone in your collage, I photographed a Spitfire yesterday it flew over my head four times and every shot was rubbish, OMG:)
