We have had a busy day here to day, planting trees along the stream edge. 30 kids came from a local school and planted around 600 trees. They were a lovely bunch of kids, planting trees for the 'Trees for Survival' programme. 5 packets of sausage rolls, 36 pies, 3kg apples, scones and soup all disappeared very quickly!
What a fantastic project, great to see the next generation undertaking it and you for offering the use of your land, was going to make a comment about use of cheap underage workers on the farm until I notice the last paragraph, lol, its a great record of the day trust the school go a copy Dianne:)
@pcoulson Haha - yes - it costs a heap to feed all those hungry kids - they get a hearty morning tea before they start, then a big lunch when they've finished! I suspect the highlight for many is the food!
